ROBERT CORNEJO

Robert Cornejo is an experienced judge that has helped clients with his private law practice, worked in all three branches of government, and has devoted his entire career on improving St. Charles County!

 

Judge Cornejo went to Washington University in St. Louis and received his Bachelor's of Science degree in Political Science with a second major in International Business. He then went on to graduate from the University of Missouri – Columbia School of Law.

 

After graduating law school, Judge Cornejo worked for a small private practice for a little bit before being elevated to partner and running his successful private law practice for ten years. In 2012, Judge Cornejo won election to the Missouri House of Representatives District 64 representing northern St. Charles County and southeastern Lincoln County. In 2018, the Governor appointed Robert as Chairman of the Missouri Labor and Industrial Relations Commission which is a quasi-judicial entity that oversees cases involving workers compensation, unemployment benefits, and prevailing wage law objections.

In February 2022, Robert was appointed by the Governor as Associate Circuit Judge - Division 13 for St. Charles County. In his current role as Associate Circuit Judge, Robert has already handled a wide range of cases involving family law, juvenile, general civil, probate, and criminal cases ranging from traffic all the way to felonies. Judge Cornejo has presided over thousands of different cases and conducted trials on close to one hundred cases.

 

Judge Cornejo has been recognized for his excellence in the law at every position he has held.

 

Robert lives in St. Peters with his wife and three children. He attends Zion Lutheran Church where he participates in the Lay Reader Ministry. Judge Cornejo is also the Vice President of the Board of Directors of a local nonprofit in the St. Charles area.
